Leyla Hanim Konagi

We rented 3 rooms 2 nights for our family of 8. Grandparents, my wife and I, my sister, and my children ages 2, 4 and 7. We were excited about the trip, but left speechless at the experience. Hospitality is great across all cities in Türkiye, but the experience at Leyla’s konak was the best of my life time. Trust me when I say the location is unbeatable. Right next to the center of it all. The property is big and beautiful so you’ll want to also spend time there. Each night we came back to drink tea and hang out in one of the gardens. My kids LOVED the turtles roaming around the property. The breakfast is as good as you would expect but better because of the spectacular views. This review wouldn’t be complete without a bow to the staff - they were over the top helpful with all of our needs and then some! We already had a tight itinerary but they still had great recommendations that I’m glad we listened to Ahmet - he was the shining star. I think he is a special education major in college - and he was very knowledgeable about the city and the konak. Thank you.

Lovely Mansion the location is perfect there is a car park right above by the museum grounds is just right for a car trip visit to Safranbolu, the rooms were kept in exceptional condition it felt like traveling a 100 years back but with the comfort of today. i do have to note that attentiveness of proprietors especially during the second breakfast where items we liked more had extra portions to them and we didn’t pre communicate that to them but it was noticed by them. thanks to the young man and lady who were present during our short but memorable stay.

the room was actually very beautiful. nicely decorated and had a great view over the town. but the bathroom/toilet was a huge problem. it was tooooooooo small. the toilet was right in the position where i was supposed to stand when i used to sink. so i had no other way but to stand on the side of the sink and did everything on the side. and then the door was right behind you…not to mention it was too dimmed as well. another problem was the bed. i assumed it was a really old bed. it produced a lot of squeaking sounds even with the slightest movements. so you either don’t move at all or be prepared to be waken up by the noise. oh i almost forgot i couldn’t shower for one night because the bathroom failed to provide hot water. and the staff didn’t provide any alternative except asking me to wait for the next morning… not the best hotel/airbnb experience by all means.
