Rundown hotel with extreme coverup perfume smells in the rooms and corridors which didn’t go away after hours of ventilation and are suspected to have caused irritation of personal respiratory system with health impact for the next week. Bump in the mattresses at hip level, so you lying directly on bed bottom. Some positive aspects: friendly man behind the counter, free parking, nice views towards Rome, clean room. Breakfast fairly basic.

We stayed at this hotel during a swelteringly hot few days in Rome, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. The hotel's facilities are extremely outdated, but the most unbearable issue was the air conditioning in our room, which might as well have been non-functional! Instead of cooling the room, it only produced a deafening noise. It's hard to believe that during Rome's intense heatwave, the temperature inside our hotel room was actually higher than outside! When we approached the hotel staff about this problem, they informed us that the air conditioning in all rooms was the same and couldn't be adjusted individually, as it was centrally controlled. We then asked if they could lower the temperature, but the staff said we'd have to wait until morning for a technician to address the issue. Needless to say, the problem remained unresolved by the time we left.

Terrible experience! I never had such a bad one (and I do travel a lot for personal trips and lots for business trips). Overall not friendly staff, but the worst was the last day, when I arrived on hotels.com I asked them if you could check out at 12 instead of 11 because I had a customer call scheduled from 11 to 12. They said yes it is fine as it is not busy and they don't have the full hotel booked. In the morning they started coming, knocking crazy on the door (like banging on the door) calling the room phone all that for one hour while I was on a very important business call !! And while my checkout was at 12 ! Honestly this is very unprofessional and really got me in a very awkward position in front of an important business call!!
