5/5 – Truly Comfortable and Convenient Stay! We had a wonderful experience at LH Hotel Sirio Venice. The photos on Booking.com are true to life—what you see is exactly what you get. The room was impressively spacious, featuring a large queen-sized bed and a convertible sofa that comfortably served as a second bed. It was a pleasant surprise to find extra sheets, pillows, and blankets already available in the room. The bathroom was another highlight—very roomy, complete with a bidet, double sinks, and modern fixtures. We also appreciated the small fridge, which easily fit our large water bottles, and the flat-screen TV added to our comfort. Parking can be a bit tricky as the hotel offers limited gated parking for €15/day, but it felt secure and worth the price. Alternatively, there's a public parking lot right across the street. The location is super convenient—just a 3-minute walk to the bus stop that takes you directly into Venice. Perfect for travelers who want easy access to the city without staying in the crowded center. One small downside: while the hotel advertises an on-site restaurant and bar, we never saw them open during our 3-night stay. However, that didn’t overshadow the overall excellent experience. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience, and value!
We checked in late coming from Venice, and by the time we arrived, the nearby grocery store was already closed. Good thing we had a noodle cup given by our friend Hanin, who took a different tour route & we separated the day before. Shoutout to the bar staff who helped us with hot water for our cup noodles! We also had some sandwiches with us, so we were good for the night. The room was clean and smelled fresh—no weird odors, which is always a big deal for us. It wasn’t as spacious as the other rooms we’ve stayed in recently, but it had everything we needed for the night. There were basic toiletries, and a fridge for drinks too! No issues at all with the room, the toilet, or the staff. Check-in and check-out were smooth despite our late arrival. We had a pleasant and hassle-free stay. Breakfast was satisfying—plenty of options like cold cuts, cereals, fruits, pastries, fresh juices, coffee, eggs, bread, jam, and more. I personally loved the egg, bread, their chocolate croissant, and the pineapple juice! Also, no language barrier here—most of the staff can speak and understand English well. Overall, for the price we paid, this hotel gave great value.
We stayed for a couple of nights a week ago and returned for the night before our return flight. Last week was mostly okay but then we were out sightseeing in Venice during the day. Today we were hoping to sit and relax for the afternoon. The guest patio is disgustingly filthy. The staff use the area as their personal smoking pit. The ashtrays are full of butts and the tables are covered in dirt, coffee stains and ashes. We asked at reception if someone might tidy the area but 2 hours later it wasn’t done. That said, at least 3 different staff walked through the area multiple times but not one stopped to clean up the mess. We left the patio when a male staff member sat down across from us and lit up a cigarette. I decided to go back to reception and a butt was just left burning in the tray. I was told at reception the staff have other priorities. As a retail assistant, I know Guest Service is the FIRST priority. It’s mid day and we are one of few guests in the hotel. I realize tourists aren’t always welcome, but when the staff is disrespectful and decide to obviously ghost guests, they should take a moment and think where their salaries come from. Overall, rooms aren’t pristine but decently cleaned, most on reception try to be helpful (but not all), the morning breakfast is by far the worst we’ve had anywhere in our travels and the attitude of staff is terrible.
