L'H tel De Herc

We had the privilege to visit this stunning B&B hotel last spring, Vanessa and Matt were brilliant hosts; nothing was too much trouble. They have vast knowledge of the area and history of the region. The rooms a beautiful restored and the beds were extremely comfortable. We started each day with delicious croissants and home made jam. They drove us around in their car and planned a brilliant sight seeing day. We visited Chateau Carrouges in Normandy then had dinner at the belle epoch Spa town of Bagnoles d’Orne. Highly recommended. A must to visit!

A wonderful unique place to stay in a very historical town and area. The hosts made every effort to make our stay very special and memorable. Our room was amazing, comfortable and unique. Full of the grace of this period property. The location allows easy access to explore the area and allows walking access to the town. Breakfast was as we wanted and again served in a room restored to it period design. Highly recommended this hotel.

The most wonderful start to a French holiday you could imagine. My husband and I stayed for a week. The L’Hotel is so beautiful and relaxing. Our breakfasts were yummy, fresh croissants and sourdough baguettes with local butter and homemade jams, or eggs made to order, wonderful coffee (important to Melbourne folk) Vanessa and Matthew are such knowledgeable hosts of the region. They booked our dinner reservations and conducted wonderful tours to Normandy and the Dior Family Summer House which was a highlight for me. The bedroom was delightful with a cloud like bed and French cotton sheets and beautiful quilts. Tea and coffee making facilities are in your room and complimentary toiletries and bathrobes provided. The area is quiet and peaceful but only a stones throw from the centre of town. It was extremely hard to leave as it was so delightful.
