Liber Hotel Osaka

Stayed here for our trip to USJ.. very impressed by their service. The counter staff took time to let us know where to eat (at universal city). The hotel also gave us a free upgrade to a larger room for our honeymoon to compensate for only twin beds available. Thank you! Amenities are all provided in the room with fantastic slippers and sleepwear. Really enjoyed my stay.

this hotel location is good near the Expo and also the universal Studios. Everything else is fine, but I was expecting a good English service since this is a four stars hotel. we had a little bit of stomach problems after we had a breakfast in the hotel. I phoned the front desk to ask for a 30 minutes late check out. And the front desk lady who answered the phone at first she was saying there will be a fee and she was using 0 to explain then I don’t understand if it will be 1000 or 10,000, then I asked, then she kept using translator device, which she couldn’t hear what I was saying. Then I had to go down to the front desk to find someone who can resolve the situation. then we asked for 10 minutes extension and it was ok. then I asked if they have restricted late check out policy, and I got answered saying that if we have a situation the supervisor will decide the situation. then why the first lady on the phone who couldn’t tell me that then give me a supervisor to sort this out. I will strongly recommend if you don’t speak Japanese probably don’t wanna stay at this hotel. Or fingers crossed that you don’t run into any troubles, otherwise you will have a hard time communicating with the hotel. One more thing the bus to airport you have to purchase on the same day of your departure. The hotel only sell same day bus tickets.

I strongly advise Indians not to stay at this hotel. The hospitality here is very poor. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Even in the breakfast area, the chefs and other staff behaved very rudely. Only the location of the hotel is good – nothing else. The staff is not friendly at all and seems to lack basic courtesy. I have stayed at Hilton in Japan, and that was 100 times better in terms of service, hospitality, and overall experience. This hotel does not live up to any international standards. Definitely not worth the stay.
