We have stayed a number of times at the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside. The staff are always very welcoming and even remembered us from past stays. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. Easy to get a good nights sleep with good blockout curtains. I particularly like the walk-in shower as opposed to some other hotels which have the shower over the bath. I would recommend breakfast in the restaurant which has a good selection of local and classic favourites. The staff in the restaurant go above and beyond (in particular the staff member Mint who looked after us). There is a nice rooftop pool with some great views over the river area (there is a couple of flights of stairs to get up to the pool, bar and gym areas). Overall a great value hotel.
During my business trip to Ho Chi Minh City, I had a truly pleasant stay at Liberty Saigon Riverside Hotel. The location couldn’t be more perfect — right in the heart of District 1 and just a short walk from the city’s vibrant tourist spots. The room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully modern, making it easy to relax after a long day. What stood out most was the warm and friendly hospitality of the staff — always helpful and welcoming. Considering the quality of service and location, the price is very competitive. I highly recommend this hotel if you're planning to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. A great choice for both business and leisure travelers!
Some things about the Liberty Riverside were great, other things were not. We stayed for one night, expensive room. The air conditioning broke at 10pm and the technician came to fix it, but then it stopped working again, so the whole night was very very hot and it was difficult to sleep well. Room was clean, good minibar, good shower. The view from the rooftop is nice, but the food that we had was definitely not worth the price. We ordered the grilled chicken. It came with a few fries and a small salad. It was overcooked and very tough and dry. No sauce. Minimal seasoning. This was 290K per plate. You can find better cooked and tastier chicken for 50 or 60k on the street. A bit disappointing there. Drinks were nice, but also just a bit overpriced. Juice was about 110k I think, but tasted the same as a 25k juice from the street. The TV in the room doesn't have Netflix. In 2025, this is kind of surprising and disappointing for me at a luxury hotel. You can find much smaller and cheaper hotels that have Netflix and smart TVs. But the staff were amazing, very friendly and kind. Service was great, especially at checkout and check-in. I would go there again, but maybe not use their restaurant.
