This was my 6th time there and it has changed some. There is no longer a welcoming bottle of your favorite alcoholic beverage and mixer for VIP members, no longer champagne 🍾 at the top of the VIP staircase leading from the beach, no longer the beautiful, decorative arrangements made from fruit at the buffets. Food was ok, drinks plentiful but definitely felt like a cheaper experience, while the resort fees more than doubled from the other times I was here. I will return but I did note the changes
This has been the absolute worst experience there is no hot water the shower ruined many pairs of shoes due to leaking there is mildew on ceilings rust all over the shower and the bedding was not cleaned stained beyound repair not to mention the showers leak out into the room I fell on floor 2 times and they didn't care at all
Stay away from any lifestyle resort if you are not a member!!! This is a club members resort and will be treated according to the level of membership you have. If you’re just a paid guest you’ll receive terrible service. For example, they make non members go to customer service desk ( I got the number & called) every morning between 9-11 to make dinner reservations. Before you find out what restaurants are “available” that day they ask for your room number, (which determines if you’re a member) if you are not, somehow all dinner reservations at restaurants are all booked up & will give only 2 restaurants to choose from (one of which was terrible) these were the only 2 restaurants ( pilón and Chinese)they offered us for our 7 night stay although it is stated on the booking description that we have 7 restaurants to choose from. So technically we got to eat 90% all meals at the 2 buffets and 2 nights at the Chinese. They have security guards at the entrance of all amenities (like pools and beaches )and will not let you in if you don’t have a gold VIP member band. To become a member you have to buy a time share and will be harassed everyday trying to get you to buy. We have stayed in an all inclusive and this is not one of those resorts. We will be booking at other resorts on our next trip.
