This was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff went the extra mile, the food was delicious, spot clean, the shower was so nice, the location was fantastic. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. It has such a unique charm. The artworks at the walls and the study room were my favourite part. The spa was wonderful! I booked a Turkish bath and it was so relaxing. The spa staff explained to me what to do and I could go at my own pace. I loved it! I've never been so blown away by a hotel. The staff truly took it to another level. For everyone who loves books: this is a must stay when in London. I hope to come back soon. Independent hotels for the win!
We had a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, the decor very interesting and eclectic and everything was SUPER clean. The service was very friendly and extremely polite. We had the afternoon tea and it was delicious, there was even a vegetarian option! The area is off the beaten track but very easily accessible. The grocery stores and restaurants in the area are definitely more reasonably priced than what you find in the proper tourist areas. Thank you for helping us have a lovely vacation in London!
This is a really great hotel. Quirky, fun, and interesting. Service is top quality and the breakfast is superb. The staff are all friendly and it has a great little wellness centre tucked away in the basement. The whole place has an eclectic vibe. But unfortunately there is no getting away from it, it's noisy!! The train line is immediately behind the hotel, there is a busy main road and planes regularly fly right overhead. Earplugs are a must!! But if you don't mind that aural distraction and you are over the east side of London then this is absolutely spot on. Highly recommended!!
