I had a wonderful stay at Lina Hotel Taksim Pera. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Istiklal Street, yet quiet and peaceful at night. The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable. What truly stood out was the hospitality: when our baby stroller broke, the hotel owner kindly provided us with one, which made our stay so much easier. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and always ready to help. Overall, a great experience—I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Istanbul – Absolutely Perfect Stay! Staying at Lina Hotel Taksim Pera was truly the highlight of our time in Istanbul. Nestled just minutes from Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, the location is unbeatable — no steep hills to climb, no endless stairs to navigate. Just a short 5-minute walk to the heart of the city’s best shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. It’s the ideal base for exploring all that Istanbul has to offer. This boutique hotel, set in a historic building that was once home to a tailor for the Ottoman Empire, is full of character and charm. The retro-style decor, vintage paintings, and the warm, welcoming 24-hour reception create a uniquely stylish atmosphere. It feels like stepping into another era, but with all the modern comforts. We especially appreciated the two elevators – a rare and wonderful convenience when travelling with heavy luggage. Our room was spacious, with gorgeous high ceilings, thoughtful furnishings, and a tasteful design that made it feel like home. Each room includes a mini fridge with complimentary bottled water, a coffee capsule machine, instant coffee, and milk sachets – such thoughtful touches. The covered garden courtyard is a true oasis where you can unwind with a drink or meal (which the staff are happy to order in for you). There’s also a complimentary coffee machine with biscuits and snacks in the reception area — an extra level of hospitality that we truly appreciated. What makes this hotel truly exceptional, though, are the owners and staff. Suzan went above and beyond, recommending and booking a nearby traditional Hamam for us, and even arranged for a staff member to escort us there. We were treated to the most wonderful aromatherapy massage, mud mask facial, sauna, foaming body wash, and complimentary tea afterward. It was an unforgettable experience. After a disappointing first stay in a nearby Beyoğlu apartment (with 50 steps, broken doors, and poor hygiene), discovering Lina Hotel was a blessing. We were so impressed, we’ve already rebooked for our return after a two-month Europe trip. We cannot recommend Lina Hotel Taksim Pera highly enough. It’s a true gem — impeccably located, beautifully styled, thoughtfully run, and utterly welcoming. Don’t hesitate to book. You’ll be as grateful as we were to find this wonderful small hotel.
