Lincolnshire Marriott Resort

Beautiful hotel in north Chicago. There were a few weddings over the weekend at the end of July, by that I mean like four or five weddings, but the resort was large enough to accommodate everyone without felling overcrowded. The opportunity to drive around the resort to find a parking location closer an entrance closer to your room made it more pleasant. The Marriot lounge is accommodating but not cared by the staff during my weekend stay. The breakfast restaurant is large and we'll situated overlooking the pond. Good service and I felt taken care of by everyone even though the hotel was full.

It's a nice hotel and staff were helpful and friendly. However some rooms are dated but nice. Our beds which were supposed to be two DBL queens seemed more like two full sized beds and they weren't as comfortable as other hotels and the ac unit was noisy. but overall the hotel was quiet despite lots of families. Our room was smaller than expected (but that's not on the hotel) and there was a small amount of hair and dust in the bath tub as if it had been empty a while but housekeeping did come and clean so I was happy about that. I loved the Starbucks onsite. The bar was nice but pricey. The onsite restaurant has a wait to be seated sign but a waiter walked right past us and didn't seat us so we left and went elsewhere after waiting a little longer. Pools and hot tub were nice and I loved the location and atmosphere. It's cool but not sure if we'd go again.

This was not a good experience. Our reservations were missing even though we had confirmation numbers. They finally found them but made us recheck in the second day. It took over an hour to get this solved. They also had two large weddings booked so we could not get into the restaurant, use the pools, or ever use the elevators as they were always full. Our room had mold in the shower and very dirty floor. Everything was very dated. I would not recommend staying here. It was probably nice years ago but needs a huge renovation to be called a resort today. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the staff were very kind and tried their best. It is also conveniently located.
