We stayed at this hotel in July 2025. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel. Our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was very good, everything fresh. Fresh fruit was always available. The staff was friendly and made every effort to meet guests' needs. We highly recommend it!
The room was generously sized. The furnishings were functional but a bit old. Partly slightly dusty. The bathroom was large and clean, but here too it would be time for a renovation. There was very little cold water to get out of the fittings, but you quickly got burned. I can only describe the service, breakfast and location as very good.
We've stayed at this hotel several times and were prepared for it to be old and outdated, but our last stay was definitely our last at this "hotel." We arrived as a family (2 adults + 1 toddler). The room had a musty smell, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and there were water stains on the ceiling. Mold wasn't visible, but it smelled suspicious. The bathroom was simply disgusting: hair from the previous occupants in the sink, on the floor, and in the shower. Toothpaste splatters in front of the mirror. There was a strong film of cleaning product in the shower that initially turned the water yellow. Countless spiders, cobwebs, and spider eggs on the ceiling. There were small Ritter Sport chocolate bars on our pillows as a welcome gift. We found those from the previous occupants in the cupboards. We immediately pointed this out to the owner, who apologized but unfortunately couldn't offer us a clean room. She promised to sort it out through payment. At breakfast the next morning, there was no hot option other than coffee. The only waitress seemed overwhelmed and also had to deal with guests arriving or checking out. There were no rolls available at breakfast after 9:15 a.m., and the cold cuts were carelessly slapped on and smelled very unpleasant. Then, when paying, the next surprise came: We were supposed to pay for a room with a balcony or terrace. We didn't have one. They gave us a €20 discount because the room was dirty. When we pointed out that the room didn't have a balcony, we were very rudely told that the price was the same regardless of whether we had a balcony or not. It struck us as very odd. The dirty room was also mentioned again. The lady showed little understanding and made a comment along the lines of: "Don't make such a fuss." Money urgently needs to be invested in friendly and competent staff, and a renovation would do the hotel good. The location is perfect.
