Lindner Hotel Vienna Am Belvedere part of JdV by Hyatt

Happened to check into Lindner Am Belvedere on my birthday. The wonderful reception staff recognised during check in that it was my birthday and offered me a room upgrade to a room on the 7th floor with a lovely view of the upper belvedere and the gardens. Also, the next morning during the breakfast I was also provided with a surprise cake and a glass of champagne! Couldnt have asked for a better experience from a hotel. The staff were polite and nice. The location is also lovely with well connected bus routes and only a kilometre away from Vienna Hauptbahnoff (central station). Danke schoon Lindner and Hyatt and special mention to Diana from the front desk!

My friend and stayed here for 5 nights. The breakfast buffet was delicious. There were so many options to choose from. I loved the fresh squeezed OJ, assortment of breads and cheese, wow. You can take the train from the airport and then it’s just a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The Belvedere tram stop is a few minutes away and it takes you all over the city. The beds were comfortable. Room was spacious.

Classic Chic in a Great Location This Hyatt property is a solid mid-range option in Vienna. The hotel strikes a good balance between modern amenities and reasonable pricing, though it's not without its quirks. Located in the Landstraße district, this 4-star property offers clean, contemporary rooms with an imperial Austrian touch that makes you feel connected to Vienna's rich history. The hotel's proximity to Belvedere Palace and the botanical gardens creates a genuinely pleasant atmosphere, and we appreciated the relatively quiet location despite being well-connected to the city center. LOCATION: The location is definitely one of the hotel's strongest selling points. Being next to the stunning Belvedere Palace means you can enjoy morning walks through the palace gardens before the crowds arrive. The botanical gardens are a 3-minute walk away, perfect for a peaceful afternoon stroll. Public transportation is excellent - the closest U-Bahn station is Stadtpark, about 10 minutes away, giving you easy access to Vienna's city center. I found the neighborhood to be quiet and residential, which was perfect for getting good sleep after busy days of sightseeing. DINE + DRINK: The breakfast buffet was genuinely impressive and worth the upgrade if it's not included in your rate. They offer a solid variety, including crispy bacon, fresh eggs, quality cold cuts, multiple bread types, fresh fruits, and yogurt. The coffee was good, and there were several juice options. There's also a lobby lounge bar where you can grab drinks, though I found the pricing to be typical hotel rates - not cheap, but not outrageous for Vienna. ROOM: We stayed in Room 505, which was a JUNIOR SUITE, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults wth a living area and a seperate bedroom area VIEW: Sweet view of the cityscape and old buildings of the city; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent Spa Quality toiletries by FARMACOPIA brand! FACILITIES: The hotel offers a fitness center and sauna, which I used a few times during my stay. The fitness equipment was modern and well-maintained, though the gym itself is relatively small. The sauna was clean and properly heated. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment, but primarily in the local language only!
