The house is located above Amalfi coast, about 1000 stairs walking up. However, there was quite some false advertising about it on Airbnb. No washer, broken shower and shower door, clogged drain. The host recommended a local restaurant which he got a free meal from :( Not recommended!

We 5 people had an unpleasant stay in this apartment for a couple of reasons. 1. Fraud advertisement, unfriendly and dishonest host. The host describe ‘’her’’ as a girl named Ketty, who is a new graduate. However, a middle-aged man appeared as the host. And the host cheated us on so many things, e.g. he took us to a restaurant to get some kickback, he also told us that he could give us a ride from the city town to the appartment with 25Euros, which is way expensive than the taxi (only 15 Euro). 2. Additional forced fees for parking. In the listing, parking was introduced as private parking but we were forced to pay 20 euro when we arrived. Not informed beforehand at all either :( 3. Inaccurate listing and terrible bathroom. He showed us the two rooms without the bathroom. The shower door was broken and the drain was clogged. We weren’t informed at all! Two of us had to spend 3 hours to shower due to the broken shower and clogged drain, instead of 30 mins, and ended up going to bed at 3 am! There was no washer as advertised as well! So unpleasant! 4. Unclean bedding and uncomfortable sofa beds. The beddings were itchy and five of us couldn’t sleep well at all. The bed frame quality wasn’t good either. We want to request partial refund for this unpleasant experience.

The apartment is located in Pogerola, above Amalfi, it is very spacious, with a spectacular view. To get to Amalfi center there is a staircase of almost 1,000 steps that we only took downhill, while to get to the square of Pogerola there are 177 steps to go up where you can take the bus, which takes about 20 minutes. The house has the necessary, detergents, dishes, the apartment is quite clean, except for the kitchen: the colander had a green piece stuck to it, the juicer with mold, a bar of expired and sealed chocolate, also with mold on it, the grater with parmesan cheese stuck to it and a lot of mess in the cabinets containing stained tablecloths and piled up dishcloths. In the shower there were 2 used bars of soap, because they were used up and there was no hair dryer. With a little more care the place would really be fabulous!!!
