Lion & Swan Hotel

My daughter and her husband had their wedding here. The day went without a hitch. The food was amazing and the rooms we had overnight were beautiful. Big shout out to Liam the wedding planner who helped make the day special.

This is the loveliest venue in east Cheshire in my opinion Whether I’m running a training course, business lunch, lunch with friends or family, coffee meeting or out for a evening meal The Staff are absolutely wonderful, friendly, professional, polite and always willing to go above and beyond The venue is always immaculate and comfortable The food has never disappointed but always exceeded my expectations. (Except the burger with palmer ham didn’t work 😂) but that’s just my taste

The hotel was beautiful and finished very well, HOWEVER it was incredibly noisy in the evening. I booked multiple rooms for the night before my wedding, and could hear every word of the live band playing a few floors below in a bar that was owned by the hotel. This loud music went on until nearly midnight. I spoke to the manager on shift who could nothing about it, other than offer me another room that had just as much noise. It was such a shame for such a lovely hotel (that wasn't cheap either!). I just wanted to relax and get an early night with my bridal party, and this did not happen. I would not stay again (i was up late with a headache and could not sleep until almost 1am, and had an early start). I have emailed the hotel to ask for a refund (even partial) and have had no response which is dreadful customer service.
