The hotel is in an excellent place and runs as a boutique hotel. They have small but lovely rooms and great employees. The breakfast in the past was individually created upon your order and made this place my first choice. Now the concept is different and there is a buffet with little choice of medium quality products. Cold cuts do not represent what Moldova usually has to offer and the only bread they offered is snowwhite and of a quality that you usually see only in b&b. Front desk and housekeeping is doing a great job!

The hotel was quite expensive for what it was compared with other hotels in Chisinau The service at breakfast was quite indifferent, but most annoyingly we were given a ground floor room with patio doors - and immediately outside our room, the hotel were doing significant building work until 1.30am. It was in their own courtyard so they either shouldn't put people in those rooms, or should stop construction over night time hours.

I’ll only give 2 stars because it is clean and rooms are ok, but I will never stay here again. Ridiculous service, absolutely hideous. It’s my 5th time in Moldova and I was staying 5 days, my regular place Zentrum was full and this place is among the most expensive, even more than Regency and fancy looking but dont be fooled. I’ll start with with the most ridiculous: 1. Room was boiling, the batteries in the AC were dead. I tried the TV batteries, also dead. I left the batteries out of both remotes, visibly old and dented. I emailed them and told them at the reception. The next day, the old batteries were back in the remotes. Took them another round of emails and reception mentions to give me 2 batteries. I boiled under a single sheet for 2 nights with the window open, but it is the main street, central, so there is an ambulance passing by every 30 mins. 2. I went to breakfast on day 1. I asked for a plant based milk, any, soya, almond, oat, any would do. They said they don’t have it. I said ok, but please have it for the rest of the week, i have 5 days. To be sure, i also emailed them, told the reception. Did they have it? No! Every morning, they acted as if my request was out of this world and they were hearing it for the first time. It’s day 5, I am still not having coffee that enjoy at an expensive hotel. It’s like they are not interested in serving you or trying to make you comfortable. Maybe hospitality isn’t the right sector for them. 3. There are 4 options on the menu for breakfast, and there is nothing else on the offer in a buffet, not even bread and butter or juice. One day there was apple juice on the bar but not on other days. You have English breakfast, croissant & eggs, zuccini pancakes and eggs, oatmeal and syrnyky, the cottage cheese pancakes. You order one of the 4 for 5 days, and you are offered nothing else, NOT even BREAD. I asked if I could order two things from the menu, I wanted the syrnyky, and the eggs but they made me pay for the second order even though the breakfast is included and the offerings so limited. Even for that I got eye-rolls and annoyed faces as if what I was asking was an extreme inconvenience. 4. Location is ok, pillows are flat, rooms are ok, but it’s Chisinau, you have many other options with similar location, much better service. I do not recommend this place! Zentrum forever! Ps. There is pop music at breakfast blasting from the speakers like a discotheque, exactly what you want at 8am on a weekday
