Lions River Country Cottages

We were please to find the cottage kitchen well equipped, there were even rechargeable lamps and a gas cooker in case of load-shedding. The decor was homely. Even though the weather changed to chilly on our second night, we were toasty warm after we made a fire in the fireplace with the provided wood and firelighters. The duvets were fluffy and warm with lots of additional blankets in the cupboards. It was beautiful having our breakfast on the patio outside in the midst of the picturesque midlands surrounded by trees, lavender and wild life - small buck and many bird varieties. With restaurants and coffee shops within reach by car, we had the best stay. The host was helpful and gracious. Also easily contactable since he lived nearby. Although there are 3 cottages on the property, they are far enough apart to feel like you are the only ones there. We found no fault with the cottage and our stay and we will certainly be returning. It was sad to leave the peace and tranquility behind at the end of the weekend.

What a wonderful stay. Accommodation clean and cosy even with a indoor fire place and wood for free. The owners are very friendly and service orientated. We surely will come back and would have loved staying longer

Absolutely beautiful and wonderful; accommodation is superb, with great attention to detail. Stunning gardens and settings. Total peace, tranquility and privacy. Hosts who go above and beyond, and cannot do enough for their guests, without in any way imposing. I would give this property a higher rating if the app allowed.
