What a pleasant surprise in Flagstaff! Needed to escape the Phoenix heat for a few days and headed to Flagstaff. We didn’t have any plans but wanted someplace where we could enjoy the cooler weather and the wonderful breezes. Came across Little America hotel. It was perfect! Nestled in the woods with a lot of shade and seats to enjoy their great weather! The rooms are large, clean and well kept. They have a great 2 mile hike through the tall pine trees where you can see a ton of wildlife! We saw a pack of coyote at sunset! The restaurant had amazing food and have to give a shout out to Danny the morning server on the patio!! One of the best servers we’ve ever had! Great personality, friendly, hustles and doesn’t forget anything!!! We will definitely be back to this hidden gem!!
We love this hotel. It’s so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are a decent size and always clean. The outdoor area is beautiful. My husband and I loved walking along the little trial area they have. There’s also a lot of benches around the property, a playground, and picnic benches. We loved being able to take food to go from restaurants and bring them back to the hotel to eat outside. The pool area is spacious with a lot of seating and tables. The pool itself was very clean. The gift shop offered cute things to purchase. I bought some stickers and a long sleeve Little America shirt. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back soon.
My sister and I road tripped with my dad from California to Cottonwood AZ to pick up a jeep that he purchased as his late-life crisis car. He and our mom had been to the Little America Hotel years ago and loved it so my dad got us rooms there as a thank you for getting the Jeep. The rooms were terrific, grounds amazing (including the walking trail) and the Monday night bartender (I forgot his name) offered the best bar service. After having a great drinks and food at the bar, my dad turned in for the night. But here’s where my 5-stars for service comes in. The next morning, we couldn’t contact our dad (he wasn’t answering the phone nor the door.). We had Marina come to his room to see if she could roust but followed protocol and called for a well-check from Flagstaff Police. He died peacefully in his sleep which was honestly the best we could hope for as he was on his third bout of cancer. We were treated with such compassion and kindness (including a gift basket) and we wanted again to thank Marina. Despite these circumstances, we’d go back to Little America in Flagstaff in a heartbeat.
