I stayed at Livia Valeria Palace between June 18th and 21st, and I absolutely loved everything about it! The staff was incredibly kind and professional, always welcoming and attentive. The pool was a dreammmm clean, peaceful, and the perfect spot to relax. The location itself is stunning and gave a real sense of calm and escape. The entire place was spotless from the room to the shared spaces, the cleanliness was impeccable. Every detail made me feel comfortable and well looked after.I would happily return anytime. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
Excellent place to stay if you want to visit Rome but not stay in the centre. Access to the city meant a 5 minute walk to the tram stop and then a short trip on the number 8 tram. Best part was that you passed through Trastevere each time which is a great place to stop for dinner. Room was very spacious and had full facilities for making food if you need or wanted to. Very clean as well with a good sized bathroom. Pool was a great bonus meaning we could relax there with a few drinks from the bar before headlining in to see the sights. Plenty of sun beds, never an issues. All the guests were very pleasant and the hotel was just so relaxing. Abigail was always on hand if we needed anything g and kept us up to date on breakfast times and helped us with navigating Rome and sorting outs transfers. Also bumped into the owner a couple of times, very attentive of his guests and wanting to make sure we were being looked after. Would highly recommend this place.
Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, our room had an overpowering sewage odor. We immediately reported the issue to the hotel staff, who assured us it would be fixed. However, they were dishonest — rather than addressing the problem, they simply cracked the windows and claimed it was resolved. The smell remained throughout our stay. The room also had multiplebugs, and to make matters worse, it looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The reality was far less clean, comfortable, or modern than what was shown in the listings. We later learned that the owner was fully aware of the ongoing issue with this room but has made no effort to fix it — a clear indication that guest experience is not a priority here. The situation was so unacceptable that we ended up cutting our vacation short and checking out a day early. Before leaving, the owner personally promised to refund us for the unused night. After several days with no refund, I followed up via WhatsApp, which is their preferred method of communication. The owner read my message but chose not to respond. Please do not be fooled by the positive reviews — they are misleading and do not reflect the true condition of the property. The pool was also visibly dirty and appeared unsafe to use. I strongly advise against booking a stay at this hotel.
