Due to personal reasons, I had to cancel my booking on very short notice. Despite this, the hotel kindly made an exception and granted a refund — a gesture that I deeply appreciate. It was handled with such grace, efficiency, and compassion that truly reflects the quality of your service. Although I didn’t have the chance to stay this time, I was already impressed by your thoughtful communication and willingness to help. The air conditioning takes a good 24 hours to cool down a room in a heat wave, even with a mobile unit in the room in addition to the HVAC in the building. That was my only qualm here. It is in an excellent location and the staff are very friendly.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I stayed at Living Hotel Das Viktualienmarkt and it was an absolute nightmare. Our room was infested with hundreds of mosquitoes. I woke up covered in mosquito bites, and my partner — who is a type 1 diabetic — was put at serious health risk because of the bites and lack of sleep. It was completely uninhabitable. The staff acknowledged this has happened before, but still refused to move us to another room that night. To make things worse: • The air conditioning didn’t work, so the room stayed hot and muggy the entire night. • The fridge also wasn’t working, which caused our food and insulin to spoil. • The room was full of mosquitoes all night and we were forced to sleep through it with no solution from the hotel. All management offered was a free breakfast and late checkout. That’s it. I followed up via email three separate times, requesting a refund for that night, and they have completely ignored every message. Absolutely no accountability, no care, and no professional response to a clear health hazard they were responsible for. This hotel has a serious problem with room quality, basic maintenance, and incompetent management. Avoid this place — especially if you value your health, your sleep, or even just basic service.
