Amazing spot to visit while sailing up the coast. Protected anchorage at Watson Bay (from 20 - 30 Kn SE wind and 1m SE swell). We picked up twp bags of plastic along 100m of beach on the southern side of the island. There were no signs to say which beaches we could sit on (some are for exclusive use of resort guests), but an abrupt resort staff member rudely told us to move on.
Fantastic resort with an amazing team of staff who are very friendly and provide a great experience while on the island. Food is exceptional and you will not leave feeling hungry or thirsty. A unique place to see the northern part of the great barrier reef. Highly recommend.
Fantastic stay in the resort in Nov 2024. The location is perfect for snorkeling and the beaches are beyond beautiful. Staff are consistently helpful, enthusiastic and friendly. Catering team dealt with nut allergy extremely well, printing off separate menus for me with nut free alternatives, and always being able to explain how the dishes would be adapted to be nut free. Special praise for the beach club team, we really felt looked after by Sarah and Jasper, who also doubles up as the resident reptile expert and led a highly enjoyable nature walk where we got to see bats, lizards, ant nests and learn about the local wildlife. Thanks for a brilliant stay!
