Locale Eastside

I stayed here for business for 2 days. I felt very much like I was at home. It was very cozy and I love the fact that there was a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit. This is a great place for independent travelers as they do not have a typical front desk. They are very responsive and explain things in great detail. The unit that I stayed in was right next to the train tracks but the train went by and I barely noticed it because it’s so quiet. I will not stay anywhere else when I return to Austin. This was so much better for me than a regular hotel, I highly recommend it!

I was temporarily lacking housing and just started a job in Austin, so I needed somewhere to stay for a week and Locale Eastside was perfect. The apartment complex (Eastside Station) is so nice with exercise rooms and a pool, and the unit itself was very nice and new and had everything, like washer and dryer plus a kitchen with all the tools/pots and pans/cups etc you could need. The TV was also great and has Netflix/Hulu etc, it felt like I was staying in a real home. Not to mention East Austin is very cool! The only thing was checking in was a mess for me because I was not contacted ahead of time about sending a photo of my ID, and the reception/internet at the apartment building is SO HORRIBLE. But the customer support at Locale was very patient and responsive and helped me get it sorted out. It is weird remotely checking in and not being with a real person which is confusing, but if you have trouble just call or text them and they are very helpful. Also at one point the water heater was smelling weird in my apartment, and all I did was text Locale and by the time I got home from work it was totally fixed. I definitely would stay at a Locale location again!

The stay was great. I did not read the initial email sent to me on where to enter. There are a few buildings in the complex. I entered with a tenant and walked around for a bit and was lost. I texted my contact and they immediately sent pictures of where I needed to be step by step. It was so easy. So read the email first! For the price the room was perfect. No keys just codes to use so that made it easier. I didn’t rent a car and just used Lyft. The GPS takes Lyft to another building in the project when they drop off but the pick up is perfect. All in all it was a great stay. I never spoke to management/customer service by phone. Everything was done by text and they responded immediately to every text that I sent. This was great stay at an amazing price. Even with the amount of Lyfts I took into Downtown to and from (and even to site see), I feel like I still saved $200 - $300 a day on lodging.
