We had a wonderful stay in this lovely room in Praiano. The view was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to the endless blue of the sea and the dramatic cliffs was unforgettable. The area is peaceful and quiet, far from the crowds, and truly feels like an authentic part of the Amalfi Coast. Plan to use public transportation since Amalfi coast have a lot of mountains. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The path of the gods starts right at the hotel. The hosts were warm and welcoming and helped us with scooter rentals and even with booking an additional room for an extra night in a different hotel near by, since hers was already fully booked. Simply lovely. Thank you

From the moment we arrived at Locanda Degli Dei, we were overwhelmed with how stunning it was. We were greeted with friendly faces who couldn’t do enough for us. Very authentic Italian feel, stunning room and a brilliant breakfast whilst sitting in an amazing setting under lemon trees. Praiano as an area is a great place to stay. Especially if you want to escape into a much quieter town with great restaurants and friendly local people. Although it can be difficult to get around the Amalfi coast wherever you stay, the owner was very helpful explain g the bus to us and we got the hang of getting around pretty easily (it’s 2 euros each way) and the bus stop is right outside to get to Positano, the marina for ferry trips and Amalfi. All round just a wonderful stay.We highly recommend Locanda Degli Dei!

WORST EXPERIENCE, a traveller’s worst nightmare. PLEASE READ THIS before booking a stay here. Praiano is not an easy destination to get to, but we heard great things and decided to book this accommodation, 6 months in advance. When making this booking, the ONLY option for payment was upon arrival, which was all confirmed. On the booking.com page, the check in states to be from 2:30pm - 9:00pm. After a huge day of travelling and a very expensive taxi, we arrived to the accommodation just after 8pm. There was no reception, the lights were off and the gate was locked. We had booked to stay at this place for 7 nights and became very stressed. A local happened to be walking by at the time, and had Ester’s (the host) number. She called and Ester told her our entire 7 night booking had been cancelled, because ‘we didn’t make payment’. Again, the ONLY option was to pay on arrival and Ester didn’t contact us once about this or anything for that matter. This put us in a terrible position, being stuck in Praiano at night with nowhere to stay for the next week. These actions of this host is absolutely horrible and unacceptable, we were lucky there was two of us, I can’t imagine how much worse this would be for a solo traveller. Because of this, we ended up having to head all the way back to Positano, spending money on another taxi. Then had to book a one night last minute stay at a very expensive hotel, because we had no other option. We thought this nightmare was over, as it has now been 11 days since this happened. However, today we noticed a transaction of $536 AUD has come out of our bank account under Ester’s name. There is NO REASON for this at all, and again no contact to explain this. This is a total scam, we have screenshots of all the information and we will be taking this further to not only get our money back, but to avoid this happening to anyone else moving forward.
