Locanda Gulfi

I stay four nights for visiting Southern Sicily cities - Siracusa, Noto, Ragusa and Modica. Additionaly, I visit Chiramonte city near the hotel. I choose this hotel because it has clean winery, nice restaurant and farm. And I want to experience Sicily farmer’s life. Victor and Paolo are really nice managers with gentle manners. The traditional full course dinner and Gulfi wine make fantastic evening. The swimming pool is large and deep enough for adult. I purchase wines and olives for my family & friends in Korea. Recalling our trip to Sicily, our stay at Gulfi is undoubtedly one of the most memorable and best experiences! We loved absolutely everything! First of all, the manager, who checked us into the room, served us in the restaurant, and gave us a tour of the winery. The level of service and professionalism was top-notch! Secondly, the wonderful chefs, Giuseppe and Matteo, who were attentive to the guests' preferences. Locanda Gulfi, the hotel's restaurant, is recommended by the Michelin Guide of Italy, and we definitely recommend trying the dishes from the menu. On one of the weekdays, there was only one table reserved for the evening—ours. I asked why they didn’t just cancel our reservation, as we were the only two guests in the entire restaurant. They responded, "You planned to come, didn’t you? So, our restaurant will operate just for the two of you tonight." Now that's service! The building itself is well-maintained and very pleasant. There's a pool outside, which we would rush to every evening after long walks and trips, to cool off from the scorching Sicilian day. You can order wine and snacks by the pool. And, as a little secret, even though the pool officially closes at 6 or 7 in the evening, you can stay until it gets dark, and no one will say a word. For breakfast, a cold buffet is served with meat and cheese cuts, fresh and dried vegetables and fruits. There are also yogurts, cereals, and of course, fresh cannoli! Coffee is served separately, but you can also treat yourself to a glass of Gulfi wine from early in the morning! Every morning, alongside juices, there was champagne, Gulfi wine, and delicious bottled water in an ice bucket. Wonderful! Gulfi is a secluded place, far from everything, where you can relax in peace, swim in a pool overlooking the vineyards, and enjoy delicious dishes at the restaurant. You can take a private tour of the winery, where you’ll have an individual tasting session and can purchase the most delicious wines. We will definitely return!

Good food, small portions, nice rooms, one day it was noisy in the evening till 1:00am because the outside restaurant is near to the rooms and an event was held.
