Loch Lomond Waterfront Luxury Lodges

Loch Lomond Waterfront is absolutely beautiful! We got married there in 2017 and came back this past July with our kids. The lodges are lovely, clean, and well stocked. The location is stunning. The serene property and beautiful accommodations offer a beautiful escape from every day life.

The accommodation posed as five-star luxury holiday rental, but the two lodges we stayed at were aged and poorly maintained, not to mention that so many facilities inside were broken or malfunctioning. The drainage in the shower didn't work, making it impossible to take a shower downstairs. The joinery work in the bathroom were broken or falling in several places. The water pressure was extremely poor and prevented my family from being able to take showers simultaneously, or even using a tap or flush a toilet while a shower is running. Our mattress was sunken and did not feel five star. The surroundings were pretty and well kept, and accessibility to local amenities and tourist attractions was good. There were not much services provided during our stay. And none of these issues reported could be solved before we left. Overall we feel that the lodges were over-advertised, and and that the lodges were not worth the money we paid for.

Overall a disappointing stay considering the large cost to stay at the lodges. Overall felt cat fished with the dated and damaged interior ranging from damaged kitchen work surface and poorly maintained appliances to the DIY vibe of the bathroom and mold in the shower. Also has issues with hot tub but that was swiftly dealt with. I commend the clean presentation of the lodge which was good for our 18 month old when crawling around. Luckily we didn’t stay much in the lodge on our stay due to the amazing views but if you want to treat yourself to somewhere nice look elsewhere
