Lochiel Luxury Accommodation

This was a lovely night away for me and my husband, the cabin was in a stunning location surrounded by breathtaking greenery and the many windows made sure you had a beautiful view at all times, the spa was great, the place was clean, interior very slightly out dated but the surroundings made up for it. Great location as you could walk less than 5 mins to the main strip with many shops, cafes and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! The property we booked was far from the advertised “luxury” and in serious need of maintenance. The price charged for such substandard accommodation felt exorbitant and deeply disappointing. The blinds were a health hazard, covered in visible mold, bacteria, dead insects, and were worn and warped. The shower was also moldy and in need of repair. Cobwebs were prevalent throughout the entire cottage, creating an unclean atmosphere. The furniture was outdated, damaged, scratched, and uncomfortable. The walls needed patching and repainting, and dust covered every surface, with food debris found under the coffee table. The broken fireplace latch posed a serious safety risk. Overall, the property was rundown, outdated, and not maintained. This booking was a significant expense for our family, saved for over a long time, and in today’s economy, such a loss is devastating. We were left without the getaway we hoped for and significantly out of pocket. We did the right thing prior to posting this review by contacting the owner and no surprise that our message went unanswered. Treatment however to the lack of care and attentiveness this owner provides. Book at your our own peril!!

The photos of the tree house with double deck is not the lochneil house, we found the advertisement to be misleading as we were expecting something much nicer than a run down spider infested cottage. Not safe for families with young children. We stayed for only two hours before being forced to leave due to spiders. The house is so dissapointing. The owner is hard to communicate with, and we were offered a $250 back from paying over $550 for the night. There are much nicer places around the area, avoid this place. It is so run down, dusty, huge spiders in every corner (literally every single corner from roof to walls and furniture all spider infested) and smells of mould. The last guest left clothes behind that were still hanging in wardrobe. So creepy. This place screams neglect. We booked based on the 5 star reviews which are far far from what the reality of the place is. Wish i could post the photos, horrible experience. Never again.
