It was a last minute booking. The room was great and stylish. The breakfast was amazing, I had the full breakfast and my parter had the avocado and poached egg. I don’t normally like avocado but I did enjoy my partners breakfast too. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be revisiting, thank you.

Great location. Staff excellent at reception & restaurant. Cleaning very good. The only problem wes the darkness of room, we were on the ground floor at the back of hotel. Right up against the other buildings. Room was totally dark. Was there for 3 nights.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its excellent location - all of Liverpool's must-see attractions are within walking distance, including Hope Street with its two cathedrals, the Cavern Club, Prince Albert Dock, and more.Unfortunately, the room was dated and poorly maintained. It smelled of cheap air freshener, the window blinds were broken and didn't function properly, the table surfaces were sticky, and the shower was problematic - the water temperature fluctuated unpredictably between cold and scalding hot during use. What truly shocked me was the check-in staff's handling of our arrival. The receptionist demanded our complete bank card details, including card number, expiration date, and CVV code. When we objected that this was private, confidential information, he insisted it was hotel policy to collect this data "for safety" and claimed they would delete it after checkout. Since we had already paid through Booking.com, had our luggage with us, and couldn't easily find alternative accommodation after our long journey, we reluctantly provided the card number and expiration date. After lengthy negotiation, we refused to give the CVV code. However, due to this incompetent staff member's handling of sensitive information, we had to block and cancel our card after checkout to prevent potential data misuse. In contrast, the checkout experience was much better. The staff member on the new shift was very helpful - he assisted us with our luggage and kindly stored it at the hotel for 2 hours after checkout completely free of charge. In summary: outdated and unclean room and shower, unpleasant odors, and unprofessional check-in procedures. However, the convenient location and helpful checkout staff are redeeming features. The poor room conditions and problematic check-in process make this hotel difficult to recommend.
