I felt sorry for the people working there. There were so many unhappy folks trying to check in. My husband and I came to just get away for a night with some friends who also booked a night. We called ahead and asked if there was any chance of checking in early. The gal said you can actually check in by 1:00. Sweet! We get there and both rooms are not ready. We started out with a King room and was given an upgrade, no extra expense. Great! It was after 4:00 before we could get into our room. Our friends had to bring their stuff to our room and get ready because we had reservations at 5:15. We all get to this upgrade and it was the filthiest room I had ever attempted to stay. ALL surfaces needed cleaned badly. Hadn't been vacuumed, hair all over the bathroom swirled around and left behind by a mop that was so wet it left muddy footprints behind of the staff that "cleaned". Carpet needs stretched so badly, I actually tripped with our luggage but didn't fall thankfully. Not sure how that's not a major liability if someone really does hurt themselves. It's that bad. We called the front desk and was apologized to but we couldn't get our King room back and was sent to a double queen which we couldn't change over to until we got back from our reserved event. Some of the people working there you could tell were just feeling dread. Whoever invests in this property needs to do better as it's not fair to the guests or the people trying to work in an old facility that needs a MAJOR overhaul. I did get a full refund. This happened Saturday and it was in my account by this morning so they did keep their word. I would not stay here again unfortunately.

I must say that this stay was the worst in my life. Hotel is old, they do not fix it. Black mold in ac that blows right in your face when you sleep. No refrigerators! Blinds on door are dirty and broken. Shower water runs from blistering hot to cold in one setting. I had to memorize the pattern of flow and run to the other end of the tub to save myself from burns. Pillows are a joke. My child was scared of black mold in ac. I decided to talk to someone at the front desk. Woman that was there was extremely rude. Refused to move us to another room. Then she said that they have no one to clean ac. Then she started attacking me saying that she will call security. I left crying. The only reason we stayed was another woman, who came to the room and cleaned the AC. I also had two nights booked in August in The Lodge, but canceled them. Clearly the only good thing there is the breakfast (BUT. It is not free.) and water nearby. I do not know what criteria they use to call themselves a 4 star hotel...2.5 stars. not more.

Overall, a disappointing stay We booked Lodge of the Four Seasons based on the great deal offered with their golf package—and quickly realized why it was such a deal. Our room (in the Seasons Bay building) needed maintenance right away because the heater had made the ceiling tiles dangerously hot to the touch. We were genuinely concerned about a fire hazard. The shower was cold until we figured out the plumbing is reversed—hot is cold, cold is hot. The room itself was very run down and dirty. We found multiple bugs, and the overall condition just didn’t feel clean or cared for. There was no fridge or microwave, which wouldn’t have been a big deal if the one and only ice machine had been located somewhere more neutral and accessible. Food on property was fine, but overpriced for what you get—and both places we tried struggled to get our order right. You’re better off heading off-property if you want better quality and accuracy. Also, bring your own pillows. Apparently, they stock exactly what each room comes with, and when we asked for extras, we were told they didn’t have any. We weren’t expecting luxury at the price we paid, but there’s really no excuse for dirty accommodations..
