It’s a delayed review, I know🙈 but I had the pleasure of having my wedding at Lodore Falls Hotel in May 2025 and a day I will never forget. We first looked around back in May 2024 and from that point I knew this is where I wanted to get married! Michaela, Nicolle, Monique and all of team are truly spectacular! No question was too silly or too small. Their attention to detail is amazing, their friendly nature and everything else in between! There are not enough words to express how I grateful myself and my husband are for the truly amazing wedding they helped up create, as without them I think I would’ve given up! Every interaction I had with Lodore was meaningful, caring and I can’t thank everyone enough for creating memories that will last a lifetime! I really felt so at ease the whole day with Monique by our side to guide us through! Thank you for making my dreams a reality❤️
TL:DR - go to the spa but stay elsewhere We had a tiny room which was right next to loud air conditioning units which were on until late into the night (later than we were told by the staff) and then started early in the morning. All rooms at the back will also hear the noises from deliveries and glass. So we didn't sleep well. The worst part was they were actively renovating all the rest of the rooms on our corridor. So there was plenty of noise from builders early in the morning too and we had to go through them to get to and from the room. This part of the hotel should simply not have been used during construction. On check out the desk offered to give me the managers email so I could get in touch when I said our stay had been disappointing. A better approach would have been for them to proactively get in touch with me. The breakfast was also very much below what was expected for the price. It's the same as the cheaper hotels in their group. It would be even more disappointing had we paid the top room rate! On the plus side the spa is quite good (our second visit) but the rest of the hotel unfortunately does not come close to this. There are other hotels nearby you can walk to.
Didn’t stay in the hotel, so can’t comment on it. Visited the spa for a day experience for my partners birthday. When we arrived at the hotel we found the spa car park full. We had to park where hotel guests were meant to park so it is slightly further away. Due to this with the walk up to the spa we were around 15 minutes late to our session. Staff at the spa were not welcoming, barely said hello. The spa facilities were good and clean, however I would say not worth the price paid compared to other spas in the lakes for only two hours. By the time we got our welcome drinks which was also slow and not warm service. At the end of our session (not known to us due to not wearing watches) a staff member shouted across the pool “your sessions over can you get out the pool”. Just didn’t find the service accommodating or professional from a five star facility. We were planning on booking to return later in the year to stay and stay the rest of the day for a few drinks after our spa session. Needless to say after that experience we left and went elsewhere. The facilities and views are unreal but unfortunately the service lets it down massively, won’t be returning and didn’t recommend to friends and family when asked.
