Loews Regency New York Hotel

I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years, and the Loews Regency stands out as one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless, clean, and elevated. The rooms were beautiful—immaculately clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Every detail, from the linens to the lighting, felt thoughtfully considered. Juan at the front desk was especially lovely. He was warm, efficient, and made the check-in process incredibly smooth while still keeping things personable. I also really appreciated the helpful text updates about my room throughout my stay. One small but meaningful touch: we had the “Do Not Disturb” sign up one day, and when we returned later that evening, there was a handwritten note under the door acknowledging it. They offered to provide fresh towels or anything else we might need—just an incredibly thoughtful gesture that speaks volumes about their level of attentiveness. And the fact that I could bring my dog—so my parents, who do not get to spend much time with her, could enjoy a fun sleepover—was just the cherry on top of an already really great Sunday. It’s rare to feel this well taken care of at a hotel, and I genuinely could not recommend the Loews Regency more. Any time I have family or friends visiting, this will absolutely be the place I suggest.

We were traveling with our dog and were warmly welcomed. The friendly and professional staff and attention to detail made this a fantastic stay. Lobby and restaurant are modern and bright. Rooms seem a tad dated but are large and comfortable. Hotel is meticulously clean. Location is remarkably quiet and convenient to Central Park, museums, Broadway and other key sites. A great experience!

Disappointed – Not a True 5-Star Experience In my opinion, this hotel does not live up to its 5-star rating. The rooms feel very outdated, nothing seems to have been renewed or modernized in quite some time. The building itself gives off a rather tired and gloomy atmosphere, which is far from what you’d expect at this price point. The rooms have a little kitchen inside but NO coffee machine at all!!!! Luxury is not here! I feel this is one of the most expensive hotels I stayed since they lacked of the outstanding service expected and the luxury experience. 5 starts experience was not delivered. I do not recommend this hotel. Look for other options around and you will find a more fair deal when exchanging your money for accommodations. Unfortunately, the service also fell short. I found the staff to be generally unfriendly and not particularly welcoming, which was surprising given the hotel’s reputation. Overall, I would rate this hotel as a 4-star at best. It simply does not meet the standard of comfort, service, or ambiance you’d expect from a true luxury property. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a high-end experience in New York.
