I’ve stayed at this property a handful of times both for business and pleasure. Canary Wharf is considered the financial district of London and definitely has more of a modern and “steely” vibe to it compared to the rest of the city. That said, it’s a superb area with plenty of cuisine options and is a lovely place to have a walkabout. The hotel itself is great. During my last stay I was upgraded to a room with a view of the quay which was gorgeous, especially at night. I’d recommend booking and/or requesting a quay view if you can. The Executive Lounge is a highlight (excellent view!) as is the breakfast spread in the restaurant on the ground floor. Another benefit of staying at this location is that since it’s located in Zone 2 the prices are a fair bit lower than other similar Marriott locations in Zone 1; but you still get VERY easy access to the city with both the Jubilee and Elizabeth lines within walking distance. Side note: Greenwich is directly across the Thames from Canary Wharf. I ventured there via the Greenwich Foot Tunnel (underneath the river which was a cool experience), but the DLR provides easy access too. Nevertheless, I’d highly recommend this hotel.

I went for my breakfast at Marriott Canary Wharf, and I was absolutely blown away by the outstanding service from Liliana. From the moment I arrived, her warm smile and charismatic presence made me feel instantly welcome. Liliana’s attentiveness and genuine care were truly remarkable she anticipated my needs before I even had to ask, ensuring everything was perfect. Her natural charm and professionalism elevated the entire dining experience, making it feel personalized and special. The breakfast itself was delicious, but it was Liliana’s exceptional customer service that stood out the most. She has a rare ability to make guests feel valued and well taken care of, which reflects the highest standards of Marriott hospitality. Thank you, Liliana, for starting my day with such positivity and warmth I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a five-star experience!

A really sub par experience at this hotel. I am an ambassador at Marriott and they claimed I was upgraded but it sure didn't feel like it. To begin with the screwed up the checkin process... gave me a key to a room walked in and a lady was still in there. Usually, given my status, they have a note and a room ready for my arrival. There was only 1 elevator working. Took several minutes to get back down and get a new room. Back to the elevators, the doors wouldn't close, when they did it was agonizingly slow. Finally settled in the room and it wouldn't cool below 74 degrees. The furniture abd carpet have seen better days All in all, the only saving grace is location if you have work in canary wharf. Otherwise it has no redeeming value. Stay elsewhere.
