Tip-top place to stay in this part of London. It's close to everything and the hotel is superb. The staff here is some of the friendliest we've ever met and just as helpful as can be. Rooms are well appointed and spacious. The history of the building is fascinating and you certainly can't beat the views!

Its location is simply great, just opposite to the Big Ben by Westminster Bridge. From here it is just a short walk to Big Ben, from Big Ben there is a short hop to Trafalgar Square or to Buckingham Palace. This hotel is located inside the old county hall so it carries a certain classic vibe, and its restaurant (Gillray) offers great view to River Thames and the Big Ben. Room facilities are not the most modern ones, but is acceptable. Breakfast is okay, so-so, not bad but not exactly tasty. Still, if your priority when choose a hotel is location convenience, probably no hotel in London can beat London Marriott Hotel County Hall when we are talking about exit the hotel gate to walk across Westminster Bridge.

A great location and a stunning building. However, what were they thinking when the 'turfed' the roundabout/feature which greets all guests as they come through the arches to the entrance, in FAKE GRASS?! The whole entrance to this beautiful old building looks shabby and unloved and really could be so much better. Who would want to sit out and look at a very large piece of fake grass? There was no signage in this area, either, to conform you were at the Marriot and no signage inside to direct you to the desk or the Library, where we had reservations.
