On a business trip for 2 day 1 night. The bed sheets, pillows and towels are stale odor. The staff is very friendly with great service minds. Location is good with a walking distance to the beach. Morning breakfast is as expected. Lunch is served with good Thai food.
Really unpleasant stay according to my experience during 8years in Thailand. It’s so-called 5star hotel but actually sooooo mean and facilities& service not totally worth the price around 2000B/night. Mean wise: 1. Deposit 1000B required which I never met before at this price level 2. A notice reads” don’t bring your bottle to refill” at the welcome drink? Also my 1st experience during my 8years staying in Thailand. 3. A card required for the towel at the swimming pool. 4. ice cream fridge is locked with a key to open. To avoid ice cream thief? 5. no toothpaste& toothbrush provided and no statement that you’re an eco friendly hotel. 6. Breakfast not included at 2000B/night. We agreed to pay the next morning. But then the staff at the Canteen entrance kept saying no breakfast for your room even we told her we can pay when check out. And actually it can be covered by the deposit 1000B even if they have any concern. 7 there is a piano in the lobby covered with a cloth. Seems no one allowed to play. Then what the sense it’s there? Actually we would like to play piano in the public like we did before ( in hospital and airport and elsewhere) Not worth wise: 1. Wifi isn’t accessible everywhere( rooms/lobby/swimming pool). We called reception at the 1st moment but they didn’t come for check. 2. Breakfast not included at price of 2000B/night and post payment not allowed. 3. Facilities are old and dirty without proper maintenance. The faucet kind of like the one used in hostels and there are stains on the bathroom wall which is easily to remove. 4. No USB sockets available and regular power sockets is only available next to the floor which is completely inconvenient. 5 railing at the balcony is too low which is a risk to kids and is against the architecture safety regulations. 6. Sharp points everywhere inside the rooms like the sharp points of the furniture and sharp points next to the shower place( very dangerous if someone slip over). No handrail or emergency call facilities provided in the bathroom. 7 bedsheet in rough quality makes me itchy nighttime which led to my sleeplessness. Also it gives out strange and unpleasant odor. 8. LED light of the lifts nearly invisible. Not easy to tell which floor it is. According to my experience, this hotel should be rated 3star to the most based on its facilities and services. One star to the location at the beachside. Actually it’s not our prior option but the options nearby were fully booked. Now I got the reason why its availability during this peak time.
The staff didn’t speak English and showed no sense of hospitality. Although I had already paid for the room, they still required a 2,000 THB deposit. But there is no mini bar and so on and it’s difficult to understand why they requested to pay the deposit Since I didn’t have enough cash, I paid the deposit by credit card — and surprisingly, they made a copy of my card, which felt very suspicious. When I checked out, they told me they couldn’t cancel the charge immediately and it takes 2 days. So, there was no proof that it had been refunded. If they ask you to pay a deposit, I strongly recommend paying in cash. If I ever visit Pattaya again, I’ll definitely stay at a different hotel — and I suggest you do the same to avoid a similarly unpleasant experience.
