this is a great hotel, i really enjoy the facilities, service, and food here. each room comes with a heater which i really like as shangri-la is especially cold. however, i only wished that there is a toilet heater because shangri-la is cold.
For lunch, stop for a meal at Tan Shan Hotel. The hotel has a welcome drink with a variety of drinking water, especially ginger juice that is deliciously brewed, not too spicy or too sweet. Hot ginger water refreshes the body even at an altitude of over 4,000 meters above sea level.
Stay over there for one night in October 23, had Really bad experience. Water for the Shower was warm, not even hot after running for 20 minutes. Turned on the heat after more than 1 hour, the room still freezing. We had to call the room service and ask for the add the heating on the floor. The shower towel was dark and looked dirty. Void this place if you going to stay in Shangri-La, Yunnan.
