Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort & Spa

This was an amazing hotel we really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely revisit. The only issue we had was it was hard to get a sunbed in the afternoon, even though a lot of beds never had people on them just towels so maybe they got a bed and went out for the day. The breakfast was great and the rooms where lovely and clean, done everyday! We had the most relaxing holiday.

After a two week family stay, let’s start with the positives: Transfer time is approximately 25 mins from the airport, we were blown away by the place on arrival, looks amazing. The hotel is extremely clean, pools are fantastic, we ate out every night so only experienced breakfast which was fine, plenty of options and there wasn’t a huge amount of queues. The location is fantastic with a strip of high level shops and some really nice restaurants. The negatives: There is no direction or signage at all, as an example we spent ages looking for our room or how to get there. Despite declaring themselves as a 5 star hotel, the staff (with a couple of small exceptions) either don’t care or are just arrogant with little effort to help. Service was disappointing, especially around the pool area. Now sunbeds, they claim that they can’t be reserved and police it before 9am taking towels off and leaving a little note… this is fine except when somebody decides to take one which was previously reserved, people end up arguing and the ‘sunbed police’ are nowhere to be seen! Own it Lopesan! It was frustrating to make discoveries of things as we were not really told about but hey, that’s how it goes. Would it stop us going again? Absolutely not but I wouldn’t go half board having seen the queue out of the door as we were leaving. All the local restaurants were amazing! Still a great holiday!

Better for them to call themself 4 star or 3 star. First we had to wait over 1 hour for our luggage to arrive to our room. Had been easier for us to carry it ourself. Second they had squeesed in a extra bed without us asking for one. Hade to call reception 2 times about it and still nothing. Worst part one was sitting on the phone over 10 min for reception to answear. Still had to go down to reception to ask them to remove the bed as it was taking up space. Nr Fourth: room where dangerus for kids. Lights under bed was gone and cabels where hanging. If a kid would put there finger there would be dangerous. Also not to talk about the fire risk. Pools and area was nice and the resturant had okay food. Not high quality but okay. Room service i wouldnt suggest using throw app. You need to choose a delivery tim one hour after ordering or later. Nothing faster and still they wouldnt deliver it on the time you choosen. The quality of rooms no where worth the price. Refigurator started leaking water and they had to replace it for a new one. Also feela not nice to se a mouse in the waters fountain that has drowned. :( Dont know if we got maximum bad luck but they didnt offer or do anything to try to make things better. Would suggest to go with another hotel thats 4 star and get better service and rooms and lower expectations. 5 star i expect a wow now we got a blaa.
