Lord Elgin Hotel

We just returned from our trip and stay at this hotel. Like others, we had both positive and negative experiences. The check-in process was simple and straightforward. We were even able to extend our stay by a day. Our room was on the 7th floor and had magnificent views of the city and changing of the guards, and the beds were firm and super comfy. However, it was not that clean, I was literally able to write my name in the dust. We didn't have enough towels in the room for our family of 4, and we didn't have robes/slippers. The pool is on the bottom floor and doesn't have the greatest views. The hot tub water was murky and often had more than 2 people in it at a time. The sauna and bathroom in the gym were really decent, and I enjoyed using it. The valet parking was great, and always had my vehicle ready for me in a timely fashion. Katie and Adrian were really great and helped in the check-in and check-out process.

Our room was spotless and comfortable, the location perfect for exploring Ottawa, and the hotel’s historic charm added to the magic. Heartfelt hospitality like this is rare—highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Noah at the reception went above and beyond to check us in early, which made our arrival so much smoother and more comfortable. The room was spotless—very clean and well-maintained. The location is also perfect, close to everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!
