What a great stay we had at Lost Property. First of all, the breakfast and breakfast service is outstanding. Cast aside all of your views of a US breakfast buffet. What makes it better? First, the service is great. You can order any kind of coffee or espresso, as well as eggs or other items made to order. The other items in chaffing dishes are better than the standard. The only thing I wish for would be the addition of fresh berries. Next, the rooms and hotel were beautiful, clean, and modern. Yes, the rooms are small but have you ever stayed in New York? Lastly, the location is outstanding. You open the front door of the hotel and you are practically on the steps of St. Paul’s. The only improvement I would make service wise is to have a concierge or at least some more knowledge regarding tube lines, attractions, and dinner ideas. The staff is a bit young for that in general, but very kind and they try hard! Overall lovely visit!
I stayed here recently on points. This property aligns well with the Hilton brand. It has a nice size lobby to relax in as well as a restaurant open late enough should you need a bite. I'll start by highlighting a friendly staff. Even on London Marathon weekend, they found a way to get us checked in a bit early which was very nice. We got a double bed room and while it was tight, it was in-line with most European hotels. The A/C worked well and it was very clean. The bathroom had one of the half door showers which I never really understand, but also both a rain shower head and washing wand. Water pressure was good too. Finally, even in the tightness, we had a small refrigerator in our room. Location was good - a quick walk to the tube and close enough to walk to a few sites, including the St Paul Cathedral. I really do not go to London often, but could see considering staying here again if I did. Enjoy!
Really glad we settled on Lost Property for our weekend break away from the kids. lovely decor and ambience throughout- including a swanky restaurant/bar and well furnished and maintained rooms. Bathroom was lovely with a great rainfall shower. Cafe by reception was cute and well made coffees also. We got room service at night and had a lovely cheesecake and honestly the best damn cappuccino I've ever had. Didn't make use of the gym but definitely will next time, as we'd certainly stay again. We got upgraded after being 'Guests of the day' which really added to the experience. Breakfast was really well done, a classic buffet with hot options and continental, but felt elevated from your basic hotel breakfasts. the ONLY thing I'd say could've been better, was more little milk cartoons in the room with the coffee & teas. We only got 2 which was enough for 1 drink. could do with 5 or 6 for 2 guests.
