La Valise SMA ... what a complete dream. Upon entering La Valise, you are transported to another world. And that world smells amazing and is a feast for the eyes too; the courtyard is the stuff of dreams with a beautiful fountain/pool, rooftop lounge area and more. We stayed at La Valise SMA for 5 night (first trip without kids) and reserved the Master Suite. The suite is large and beautifully designed/decorated with so many special, nice touches. The housekeeping staff was very attentive, coming twice a day and restocking the mini fridge. The concierge team was top notch; they helped us with so many reservations and also took our breakfast order every morning (the breakfast was tasty and perfect every day). I cannot say enough good things about La Valise and about the city of SMA as well. I am already aching to go back.

Our recent stay at La Valise in San Miguel de Allende was an exceptional experience. We found the hotel to be a perfect sanctuary, offering a serene escape while still being in the heart of the city. Our room was beautifully appointed, balancing artistic design with genuine comfort. The bed was unbelieveably comfortable. We loved the terrace, which provided a stunning vantage point for the city views and became a favorite spot for an evening drink or a morning coffee. The service was exemplary and felt very personal. The staff was incredibly helpful, demonstrating a sincere enthusiasm to assist with our requests and offer recommendations for exploring the city. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful details that distinguished the stay. The welcome mezcal served with fresh grapefruit on arrival and the delicious cookies left at turndown were small but significant gestures that made our experience feel both luxurious and warmly hospitable. We were thoroughly relaxed and happy at the end of the trip, and we can't wait to go back.

I was blown away by the beauty and uniqueness of this property. The photos online did not do it justice. We stayed in the Coatl room. It was spacious and lovely. The furniture and accents were interesting and intriguing. La Valise excels at the details from the Mezcal welcome drink to the oversized bath towels to the scented toilet paper. Everything was thoughtful and intentional. The in-room massage was wonderful! We only dined onsite once, having breakfast served in our room. It was so good! I am still dreaming of their yogurt parfait. The service was spectacular. Marco was so helpful. We absolutely loved Luis! The property is within walking distance to anything you’d want to see in Centro. We felt extremely safe and well taken care of.
