LOTTE Hotel Vladivostok

This is really a magical experience. The hotel and staff have provided an exquisite yet very comfortable environment. It is more expensive than I expected but I cannot find fault with any aspect of the Lotte Hotel. The breakfasts are special. The diversity of choices should satisfy the most discriminating person.

Vladivostok ist not a destination for luxury travel. The Lotte is still the best choice among numerous but mediocre alternatives. I liked my room very much - a junior suite for 160 Euro with a nice view of Vl. harbor. The bathroom was meticulously clean and had all the amenities, there were two flat screen TVs with a generous choice of programs, and the WiFi was fast. You shouldn't expect too much, though. The lobby hall has an almost prohibitive emptiness, with just two seats with backrests and a lonely grand piano. The Café Latte in the Restaurant was tepid and thin, but they charged 7 Euros for it. And when I wanted to have a 5000 Rouble note changed into smaller notes, the receptionist flatly refused - telling me the taxi driver would have change. Of course he didn't. So, despite the Korean background of the place, expect some Soviet vestiges.

Do Not Stay Here!!!! 1. My room is locked from the inside when I woke up. I cannot get out of my room. If there was a fire I would be dead right now 2. The internet in my room has not worked two entire two weeks I’ve stayed here 3. The food at the lobby lounge for dinner was very bad. Chicken burger and cheese burger were terrible 4. The rooms are dark and old This hotel was nice several years ago not anymore. It’s my last night here and I’m changing my hotel because this hotel is so bad.
