Lotus Bay Resort

Stayed: 10 nights The rooms are outdated and in need of renovation. The toilet was not properly cleaned, and the shower door was broken, not closing as it should. We weren’t supplied with soap or shower gel on a daily basis. The air conditioning, which seemed decades old, was broken from day one. Instead of relaxing, we spent the first three days repeatedly complaining at reception before the issue was resolved — three days without AC in the Egyptian heat was unbearable. Staff were generally unfriendly, giving the impression they didn’t want to be there. At times, they ignored requests for drinks at both the bar and the restaurant. Entertainment was completely lacking — nothing at all for the entire 10‑day stay. The food was acceptable, but nothing memorable. The highlights were the sandy beach, beautiful sea view, and well‑kept garden. Unfortunately, the beach experience was diminished by guests leaving belongings to “reserve” loungers all day without using them. Overall rating: 2 stars.

I’ve been there three times – there are no advantages at all. Very unfriendly staff at the reception, rude staff on the beach, and overall very unpleasant people. I don’t recommend this place.
