Loughrea Hotel & Spa

Stayed here for a work trip and had a great experience. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with spacious rooms and a very comfortable bed. The bar and restaurant served nice food, and the breakfast in the morning was lovely with excellent service. Would definitely recommend for work stays.

We went to visit for the thermal suite, about an hour's drive from where we live and honestly if the rest of the hotel is anything like this, id stay there in an instant. Quiet, tranquil, big sauna, big steam room, big jacuzzi, large airy light therapy room, dark comfortable therapy room, ice grotto and pressure shower, for the price it's the perfect recovery spot. Bring your partner and just unwind for the afternoon, grab a bite to eat in the restaurant/bar afterwards and enjoy your day. Will be back many times again, this place is wonderful.

The spa had potential, but the experience felt unpolished. Staff were very young and seemed inexperienced, rushing us despite no other guests being around. The treatment room was cold with no music, which made it hard to relax. After changing, we were left waiting outside the thermal suite as no one was around to give us the door code. It all felt a bit disorganised and lacking in care. Some staff training and attention to guest experience would make a big difference. The afternoon tea was great, the bar/restaurant staff were helpful, friendly and attentive throughout.
