Lubbelinkhof A Hampshire Classic

From February 13-15 Stayed at this hotel in 2013. It was all well arranged. Room, breakfast buffet and dinner all top notch. Super nice staff who want to please you. We brought our dog with us (we had indicated this when we made the reservation) and because we did not want to leave the dog alone in the room when we went to eat, part of the large reading table in the hotel lobby was always set up for us. 'Our' set table was always neatly set in advance. Fine, compliments. In short: great, we enjoyed it.

Great Hotel! Spacious room with bath and balcony. Customer-friendly staff. We were even able to check in before 2:00 PM. Excellent service.

Had a terrible experience. A headache-inducing bedroom (chemical smell to mask the musty smell) where you have to scrub for fifteen minutes before you dare to dip a toe in the bath (thick, greasy layer of dust), combined with having to have an embarrassing discussion at the beginning and during dinner about whether or not arrangement agreements have been made. Food was not comfort food either, and almost made me long for junk food. Service during dinner had to resort to cheat sheets, served soup twice and smelled of cigarette smoke..... Mistake after mistake after mistake, and then also Eros Ramazotti as torture music in heavy rotation. (Really not funny anymore!) Price-quality ratio was completely lost. And to top it all off, no response to complaints was received. The hotel has money in and apparently thinks it's fine, while they watched the tears running down their cheeks. Literal.
