The service was excellent. Although there was no elevator, the staff kindly helped carry our luggage upstairs. They also offered a shuttle service to the bus station, so we didn’t have to walk with our bags. While the front desk staff didn’t speak much English, they made a great effort to communicate with us. During our stay, the ropeway was under maintenance, but we wanted to visit the Okama Crater at Mount Zao. The staff was very helpful and assisted us in arranging transportation. There are four hot spring baths, all very relaxing. The bathing facilities and amenities were well-prepared and complete. Soaking in the onsen in the cool weather was truly wonderful! The location is quite convenient too!there’s a convenience store just a short walk away. If you don’t order meals from the hotel, you can easily grab something to eat from the store. Oh, and a funny thing, we spent quite a while looking for water to boil, only to realize they had already provided both hot and cold water in the hot water kettle and pitcher! They even included tea and a tea set, which was a lovely touch!
I had a great time dinner was Japanese and great hot spring was great snd if you like hiking you can enjoy zao mountain in summer and skiing in winter room was good and sttaf very helpful and with this price it was great
The food was okay for breakfast, but it was better for dinner. The room was spacious, but it wasn't very clean. I saw two bugs during my two-night stay. The worst part was the front desk staff. The men were not friendly at all. They didn't tell us a lot of important information until we asked. When we were asking for information, he's just laughing "hehehehe" (for few times). I dont know what that mean, sound so sarcastic. Another scenario, when we arrived in our car and were turning into the hotel, one of the men from the front desk sprinted out to our car. It was dark and it was really scary. I wish he had just walked out instead of sprinting out like that. He looked like a zombie to me. He just wanted to make sure we were hotel guests, but he could have waited for us at the front desk. There was no need for him to run out like that. It was a really scary experience.
