Lucky Elephant

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lucky Elephant. The hotel is of a high standard – everything was perfectly clean, well-maintained, and fully functional. The staff were truly exceptional – always smiling, kind, and helpful, making us feel welcome every single day. We also enjoyed the morning workouts and aqua sessions with Lucy – such a great way to start the day! Also, the 90-minute full body massage was simply perfect – deeply relaxing and professional. The swimming pool is beautiful and great for actual swimming – about 25 meters long. The beach is just a few steps away, clean and peaceful. The food was excellent – delicious, fresh, and with very reasonable prices considering the overall level of the hotel. Honestly, there’s nothing we could complain about. If anything, six nights just weren’t enough! We would love to come back.

We recently visited Hotel Lucky Elephant in Hikkaduwa, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The place is superb ,extremely clean and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure we were comfortable. The location is perfect, right by the beach with stunning views. The food was amazing , delicious and well-prepared. Our room was spotless, cozy, and offered a peaceful atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa. Whether you're looking to relax by the beach or enjoy great hospitality, Lucky Elephant is the perfect choice!

We stayed in Lucky Elephant for 7 days on our honeymoon and enjoyed it very much. Rooms were clean, service was great and we had a wonderful time there. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby or a short tuktuk ride away. Also the walks on the beach at sunset were astonishing. Some constructive feedback that I could give, Although the breakfast was great, variety of options for omelettes and fresh fruit, the restaurant area needs some attention. It has a lot of potential, but there are some things that could be improved. First, during the breakfast we were constantly interrupted by the staff who were collecting empty plates. I think the correct etiquette should be to not disturb the guests every 5 minutes but wait until the breakfast is finished. The restaurant area also needs to draw attention to the atmosphere. E.g. I think its not professional that there are some managers working on the breakfast area writing to papers or scolding the staff. This definitely should happen in some other workspace. Also (this is just my personal taste) the music could be more uplifiting or chill, melancholic piano music for breakfast sets a strange mood for the rest of the day. And last thing, I believe the people would love to dine in this restaurant if it was more inviting. Couple of times we saw that there were no customers but couple of staff members who watched the news. Overall, it was a lovely experience and would recommend it if you are staying in Hikkaduwa region. Thank you,
