A Stay Filled with Peace and Timeless Beauty My husband and I visited Hotel Luna Convento in Amalfi this June, and it was everything I hoped it would be—and more. The hotel is steeped in the peaceful, reflective spirit of its former life as a monastery. There’s a serenity that seems to radiate from the stone walls, the cloistered courtyard, and the breathtaking views. Our accommodations were perfectly suited for us—comfortable, charming, and authentically Amalfi. My personal favorite was the seawater pool across the street, built right into the cliffside above the Mediterranean—it felt like a secret paradise. We especially loved the afternoon cocktail hour in the courtyard, a quiet, beautiful pause in the day, surrounded by flowers and soft light. Breakfast was another highlight: not only were the views over the coast spectacular, but the variety and quality of the spread exceeded expectations. From fresh fruit to pastries to savory options, every detail was cared for. Above all, the service at Luna Convento was exceptional. Every single member of the staff was gracious, warm, and attentive in a way that felt genuine. Their kindness added something intangible to our stay—something unforgettable. We left with full hearts and lasting memories. Hotel Luna Convento is a place of quiet magic, and we are already dreaming of our return.

We loved the hotel!! We wanted to extend but it was sadly booked. The woman at the reception was extremely friendly and helped us get a lunch table! Felt very welcoming for her to be so gracious and friendly to tourists who have trouble speaking Italian! She made the whole experience increasingly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and we want to come again!

We spent a few very nice days at Hotel Luna Convento. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, especially when it came to addressing our room concerns. Our first room, located directly beneath the restaurant, was unfortunately quite noisy in the mornings — you can hear every chair being moved as guests head to the breakfast buffet. However, after mentioning this, we received a complimentary room upgrade, which was much quieter, very spacious, and beautifully furnished. Big thumbs up for that! On the downside, we were disappointed by the turtles kept in a small fountain in the central courtyard. The space is extremely limited, the water was dirty, and the turtles had no proper access to dry land — just narrow ledges that allow them to barely lift themselves out of the water. This kind of setup does not reflect modern standards for appropriate animal care and unfortunately detracted from the otherwise positive overall experience. Another point of criticism: the staircase leading down to the pool area was littered with trash. It’s hard to understand why no staff member would simply pick it up — even if it’s not their specific job. A bit of attention and care in shared spaces would go a long way.
