Stayed over for a week on the top floor 416 and the first floor unit 140 with large balcony and jacuzzi. It is hard to give 5 stars, because it was far from perfect, however it was also very nicely done. Rooms were renovated, but because I am in construction industry. I kept noticing things that were done, cutting corners. Would this things bother others? Probably not.. Overall, we all enjoyed our time. One of the staff member was very rude and arrogant, couple of times we almost lost it - but we didn't want to ruin our time and other people's time over there. Owners were always present and watching things over. Met with them and they were all the kindest and sweetest..
My wife and I stayed in Lungomare Hotel in Oct. this year. From our arrival we were made to feel very welcome. The management and staff at: reception, in the restaurant, bar, spa, room service, at the pool and our cycle and tour guides were courteous and friendly. The food and the services are excellent. The hotel caters for both cycling and non- cycling guests with a full programme for both. This not just a cycle friendly hotel it is a Cycling Hotel which also has a full programme for the non cyclist. We highly recommend this hotel. Leonard
I had a really bad experience here. On their site they boast 6 different guided rides per day, for different levels of difficulty, but they don't say that the rides are limited to 4h maximum and the route options are sorted by speed. Meaning that you can't do a challenging ride unless you can ride at least 27km/h. If you want to do a beautiful long ride at a slower speed you have to book a private guide. If you ride around 23-24km/h you are limited to a selection of flat rides in the industrial area near the hotel. It's really not on par with what a cycling holiday would usually offer. The guide was unable to manage any amount of heterogeneity in the group and encouraged an atmosphere of competition which was totally incoherent with the "cycling holiday" vibe the hotel was selling. In the group labeled 24-27km/h he told people going 24 that they shouldn't be in the group and allowed other riders to critique the "slow people". He even stopped the group once to kick someone out without having any kind of conversation with her. Having participated in many other cycling experiences I know it is possible to manage a group and meet the needs of "advanced" riders without insulting anyone who is struggling. I also felt very singled out and harassed by one of the guides. I communicated this to the hotel and they said they couldn't do anything because it was a "he said she said" situation. I would not recommend to any solo female travelers. The area of cesenatico itself is really not the best for cycling either, it would be better to find something closer to the mountains where there are less cars and better scenery. Finally I will say that the family who owns the place is very nice, all my bad experiences were with the guide, Ole.
