Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center Manado

All good things to say about this hotel! Location is great, with a nearby Indomaret for late night snack runs. The room was great! Airconditioning was cold, bathroom was clean and smelled good. I also appreciate that the wifi was very fast. The hotel also has wonderful views on all sides, which is a great plus when waking up in the morning. I appreciate the extensive breakfast options as well. Overall, an amazing place to stay when in Manado!

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and 9 nights. I booked two rooms — one for myself and my friend, and one for my colleague. Upon check-in, I was a bit disappointed because our room was not ready even though we arrived after 2 PM (the official check-in time). I asked the receptionist how long we would need to wait, but they didn’t give an answer or even offer an apology. During my stay on the 9th floor, the electricity was unstable, and there were several blackouts. We reported this to the same receptionist, who only said, “Okay, we will check,” but no one came to follow up. This issue continued for several days until two days before check-out, when we finally contacted the operator — and the service team responded immediately. I was also disappointed by the front desk service and the welcome snack, which was only provided for one room, not both. That said, I really appreciated the restaurant service. Since we were staying long-term, they kindly offered us the flexibility to choose our meals, which was a nice touch. Overall, the room was very clean, the air conditioning and TV worked well, and the modern design of the room was something I really liked.

Location was really out of the way but it’s ok since we’re only staying for one night. Can’t really communicate with the hotel staffs as only a handful of them speaks english. Additional bottles of water is not FOC, cost $50k RP per bottle. Room is clean and spacious so kudos to that.
