Quiet , welcoming and good taste all around. Comfortable rooms with nice view of the mountains, cozy pool albeit a bit small, excellent breakfast. They even had gluten free bread upon request at breakfast. It’s a great choice if you want to hit the Azuga slopes or wander atop Sorica with Bucegi towering in the diatance.

The establishment is nice, and the rooms are spacious. The only problem is that now, in summer, it can get really hot inside the rooms. The hotel does have central air conditioning but it's not working! I have notified the desk, they were very receptive and told me they will handle it, but absolutely nothing happened. Then I discussed with other work colleagues and they confirmed it was uncomfortably hot in the room. The people were very friendly and willing, I have no complaints here. The food could be better, eventually more diverse. So, the bottom line, I find it unacceptable to suffer from heat in a hotel placed in the mountains, even in the summer.

This review is only for the restaurant. We came there with high expectations, as the menu seemed promising, especially when comparing it to other restaurants in Azuga. However, we gradually started to understand how far their 5-star claim is from the harsh reality. Honestly, I don't understand any of the positive reviews, because nothing is 5-star there and the evaluation should be done on a value-for-money basis. First, we ordered some lemonades with ginger, unsweetened, which turned out they were made with syrup. Then we had a cold cut platter, which was average at best. Really unspectacular and very bland in taste. Afterwards, we tried lamb chop with mashed potatoes and duck with red cabbage. The lamb was not very tender, although it was supposed to be slowly cooked, and the whole dish was drunk in a tasteless brownish sauce, the one you can eat in a canteen. The duck was dry, and the cabbage was sunk in oil. The choice of ingredients was obviously very cheap, and I think it is completely shameless to ask 18 € or 25 € for those dishes. On top of that, my wife found a plastic piece from some packaging in the cabbage. On a side note, no attention to details was given at all: no design for the menu, no table napkin, the pepper and salt-shakers are your typical kebab shop items, inappropriate knives for meat and so on. To sum up, if this was a 3-star restaurant with half of those prices, I would have given a better rating. But it's not, and it is shameful that in Romania you ask for 90 € a normal meal in 2, and you offer the cheapest ingredients, terrible cooking and no care for details. This type of tourism shouldn't be encouraged.
