LUXa Charmhouse Hotel

Easy check in for us. It was all automated by codes and lock boxes. The room (top floor #9) was spacious enough for my family of 5. The temperature was cool outside at the end of June so cracking the windows was enough to keep us comfortable (no AC otherwise). The only challenge with this place was there is no dedicated parking. There is a few spots out front (maybe 10-15), but if you aren’t lucky, good luck finding parking. Beyond that struggle, the location is perfect!! Easy walking to all sites and restaurants in Sintra.

Be prepared, there is no kitchen and it is noisy on the street. There was sort of a dining room with a sink, 3 plates and some random cutlery, but not even a kettle! And they call themselves a hotel?! We ended up buying canned stuff and made veg salads for breakfast, and had a hot coffee/tea at a café. There is a microwave, but it's locked away and only for the cleaning personnel, and a paid coffee machine which was turned off during our stay. About the noise, there is a tuk tuk parking (drivers shouting), bus stop (tourists outside) and in the night at like 00:30 the garbage truck collects glass. The location is great, 30 min walking/hiking to Moorish castle and Pena, 10 min walk to Quinta da Regaleira.

worst place I've been in a while... smells moldy everywhere, not clean, please stay somewhere else!
