Lycus River Thermal Hotel

Rooms are okay, but they have very large dining restaurant and awesome hotel bar and the best and awesome Hot Spring Pool that's open until 11pm!! Highly highly recommending the Thermal Pool at the hotel. The general consensus in my travel group was that they wanted to stay one more night so they can use the Thermal Pool again!

Feels like a 2-star despite the 5-star claims—serious refurbishment needed I stayed at Lycus River Thermal Hotel (Apr, 2025) 5-star quality—but the room condition was closer to a 2-star budget. Probably just me having an unlucky day. Lots of small stuffs that adds up. The kettle lid was broken and the filter missing. The bed was so worn out, I literally slumped into the sagging mattress. Shower head barely trickled, and the sink tap was half blocked. Only two hangers were provided in the closet, and the in-room safe was locked—unable to use. The air-con cut out randomly in Cool mode - I've to watch it die and revive multiple times. Even the shampoo dispenser in the shower needed multiple presses to produce a single pump. How could so many things be wrong at the same time. God I feel awful. Food was mediocre: six main-dish options, lots of cold sides and desserts (quantity over quality), but nothing memorable. Probably so because they're catering for huge number of tour groups. The gym facilities were severely under-equipped—far below even a 3-star standard. Machines were old, some broken, and space cramped. On the plus side, the thermal spa and outdoor pool are great, and towels are provided . The valley views from the pool terrace are lovely at sunrise. But exceptional spa facilities can’t compensate for fundamental room failures. I'm sorry I've to write this.

The waiters at the restaurant/diner SUPER RUDE. We brought in unfinished drinks which were balance from our trip and put them on the table. Two waiters a man and a woman came yelling and screaming at us threatening to charge us 500 Turkish Lira. What a bloody unpleasant treatment. Super RUDE & ARROGANT. Will not recommend to people to come to this hotel. Read your reply. Unfortunately my team and I could not agree with your "politely informed you of the issue"'. We do not see how yelling and screaming as polite. There were many witnesses. Please send your staff for retraining. And if you do not want people to bring in "'outside food' please prepare enough dustbins/rubbish bins.
