Perfect mix between hostel and hotel! Only down side was the room windows don't open and the air-conditioning can be inconsistent, so was a bit stuffy at times. Rooms are small but have everything you need and there was enough room + hooks to store all our belongings. Would stay again next time we're in the area, thank you!

Great space in an iconic location! Lyf has the ability to make simple spaces exquisite and this shines through at their Collingwood offering. Right in the heart of the hustle and bustle, Lyf offers the simple pleasures of accommodation without all the unnecessary fluff! Rooms are really clean, linen is nice and all the little touches within the rooms, appreciated. Whether you are on a budget or just want simple accommodation in a really nice area this is the spot!

Clean boutique hotel in a lively district. Beds are very comfortable. Room is small and claustrophobic even for one. Rooms are not cleaned daily, only at 3 days, and you have to replace towels at reception. Nice complementary coffee at reception. A short walk to the tram (86) into Melbourne CBD which takes about 10 minutes. Facilities to make your own meals. Table tennis and outdoor area to eat. The hallways lack signage for lifts, so on the floor, it can get confusing to find your way out. I did like the convenience of the area to nightlife and restaurants. An Anytime Fitness is not far from the hotel.
